Directions

By Car
Take the A286 from the A27 (marked A on the map below). Go south-west for about 4 miles and then at the mini-roundabout either go straight on for West Wittering village or left for East Wittering and Bracklesham.
West Wittering Beach is usually accessed from the West Wittering Beach Car Park (marked B below; for SatNav purposes use postal code PO20 8AJ.)
However, the queues for this car park can be horrendous on a hot bank holiday, so alternatively you can access the beach via East Wittering (marked C below) where there is limited parking in the village. This end of the beach is popular with surfers, windsurfers and kite surfers and also with dog-walkers as the beach here doesn't have any dog restrictions unlike at West Wittering in the summer. But the parking is much less extensive and there are minimal facilities on the beach (still lovely though!)
By Public Transport
The number 52 bus to and from Chichester stops at West Wittering, East Wittering and Bracklesham about twice an hour - see timetable.
The nearest train station is at Chichester and the bus terminal is close by.
